Claims Reporting with First Step

Benefits of the Program:

• The major advantage with this program is that all questions can be answered then and there by SDIC. This begins the working rapport with The SDIC staff and the injured worker immediately.
• We have notice of the claim immediately.
• The employee will be given a series of questions and verification of the panel; the prescription program information will be given to the employee.
• The employee can ask questions at that time, if needed.
• The pharmacy program is put on notice earlier in the claim through this reporting method.
• The panel of physicians or treating physicians can rest knowing the claim has been reported and where to send the reports and bills for medical treatment as the employee has information first hand.
• We will remind the employee of the need for medical authorization, supervisor/witness reports and to report status of their disability to the School District and SDIC.
